Very happy I went for the built in hip seat!
"I deliberated for days on whether I should go for this or the omni deluxe 360 for our chunky 7 month old. I’m sure I’d love the omni too but for us this works perfectly because I love that we can use the hip seat alone when we are out and about and she wants to be out of the pram and carried - but still have the freedom to pass her around, or put her up and down. And it’s generally less of a faff to take on and off than the over the shoulders carriers when you wear hip seat alone. I’ve used the top part of the carrier when I really need to have two hands free and it also works well. Just be aware that the hip seat is chunky and sticks out (I’m petite), it’s ok for the convenient set up for us but it is its drawback if you want to use it whilst doing chores etc. I find it secure and light enough to use as carrier but I’m guessing the traditional type would still be better for the wearer when it comes to weight bearing and more secure for long hikes."
