Meet the Britax Römer Swivel 2 – an updated, improved version of the much-loved original Swivel car seat. Designed to offer even more comfort and ease-of-use, the Swivel 2 includes enhanced head stability, a longer-use newborn insert, and improved ergonomic design – all while maintaining the trusted 360° rotation and extended rear-facing safety that made the original a favourite with parents.

This all-in-one car seat grows with your child from birth to approx. 7 years (40–125 cm), adapting to their changing needs while keeping safety and comfort at the forefront. Whether you're adjusting the multi-position recline, rotating the seat to get your little one in with ease, or transforming it from a rear-facing infant seat to a high-back booster, the Swivel 2 makes every journey simpler. Built to the latest UN R129 safety standards, it’s a reliable and thoughtful companion from newborn snuggles to school runs.

Improved 360° rotation with one-hand operation, so you can rotate the seat easily to the car door for seamless buckling + unbuckling – now with smoother, more ergonomic handling
Enhanced newborn insert is now suitable up to 75 cm with a flatter, more reclined position + energy-absorbing foam pads to support natural posture + comfort
New head stability design offers better protection + support to reduce head flop during naps, especially for younger children
Grows with your child from birth to 7 years - rear-facing up to 105cm, then forward-facing with car seatbelt up to 125cm. Plus, it easily switches from 5-point harness to seatbelt mode as your child grows
Certified to UN R129 standards, with deep, padded side wings + a V-shaped headrest designed to absorb energy + limit movement during a collision

Britax Romer Swivel 2 Car Seat

We've been testing the Britax Römer Swivel 2 Car Seat in Space Black for two weeks now with our son (who's been 4-6 weeks old during testing) and I have to say, it's been a very welcome addition for our family car journeys.

A major pro of this seat is the adjustment potential. The seat belt straps are really easy to adjust without loads of faffing or having to move baby out of the way. I particularly love the recline feature - with our other seat, I constantly worried about our newborn's head dropping forward and wobbling, but this seat's recline gives me complete peace of mind.

My son seemed to love the seat immediately, settling in comfortably and falling asleep within minutes of being strapped in. What I love most is how easy it is to get baby in and out - this has been especially helpful during my c-section recovery when bending and lifting was challenging.

Safe & Stress Free Travels

Experience worry-free adventures with SWIVEL. The seat allows your child to travel in a rearward-facing position with the safe 5-point harness for even longer - until the age of 4 (105 cm)! Certified to meet UN R129 standards, it ensures protection on every journey. Deep, secure side wings shield your little one from the outside and create a safe cave. The robust support leg ensures a safe and stable stand.

A seat that lasts a lifetime

The included long-lasting newborn insert provides an even more reclined position - a cosy cocoon for your little bundle of joy (up to 75 cm). Time flies and babies grow fast- the adjustable headrest ensures the ideal posture from infancy to adventurous. What's more, the seat converts from a 5-point harness (up to 105 cm) to a booster seat, while the comfortable reclining positions comfort them up to age 7.

Arrived in good time and

"Arrived in good time and despatch updates received as expected."

Great seat

"I love this seat, had a maxi cosi peal before this and thought it was dangerous with how slack the straps were. I have not had this problem with this seat and it’s amazing. I love how it goes up to 7 years as I have a very tall 23 month old I know she’s definitely got a few years of growing room in it. It’s such a compact seat and it fits perfectly in our BMW without having to have the passenger seat pulled forward. Bonus too In rear facing my daughter still has plenty of room."

Britax swivel

"Fitted in a Kia EV6 required a bit of manhandling to get the base fitted well on to the seat. Once got it into place not a problem, when no child sits in it does rattle a bit. However I doubt as will this actually fit a child up to 7 years seems a bit small."
