The Story Behind aden + anais
Inspired by tradition
Australian born Raegan Moya-Jones created aden + anais in honour of the centuries old Australian tradition of swaddling babies in soft and breathable cotton muslin blankets. After moving to New York, Raegan struggled to find swaddles made out of muslin, instead only finding fleece, flannel or heavy cotton options. That's when the idea of aden + anais was born, to show the rest of the world the amazing benefits of swaddling in muslin inspired by her Australian roots.
Raegan introduced the first muslin swaddle blankets to the US in 2006. Thanks to their versatility, quality and stylish designs, the aden + anais muslin swaddle instantly became a massive success. Since then aden + anais has grown to provide parents with a wide range of award-winning baby essentials all with the signature style and quality of the original designs.

Muslin is a finely-woven breathable lightweight cotton fabric which is believed to be one of the purest, simplest and most gentle fabrics in the world.
