History of Baby Jogger
In 1984, Phil Baechler—a devoted runner and parent – had a vision of jogging strollers that would let parents stay active while their little one with them.
Inspired by this idea, Baby Jogger was born with a design to help families embark on new adventures together - no matter what lifestyle they choose.
Its very first jogging stroller came onto market in 1984. From then, the Baby Jogger range expanded with their double jogging strollers launching in 1986 as well as their first patented one-hand quick fold introduced in 2007.

Rigorous testing
Baby Jogger strollers have been rigorously tested to ensure they can accompany you on all your wildest excursions. Tests include:
- Rolling road test
All Baby Jogger’s stroller samples undergo an intense test before being approved for production. They take a long and rocky journey, running up to 224 miles across treadmills - ten times until they pass strict quality standards.
- Curb mount test
Through rigorous testing, Baby Jogger can guarantee their strollers can handle any city street with ease. Their pre-production sample has to endure 10,000 curb climbs in one cycle; a process repeated 5 - 7 times so you feel safe and secure.
- Lap test
After all lab-test results are in, they hit the rugged outdoors to take the strollers for a wild ride. Mud, sand, cobblestones and ramps, they passionately put each sample through their paces; navigating 1,000 laps over treacherous terrain up to three times... no challenge is too tough for Baby Jogger’s wheels of steel!
- Cycle test
Thoroughness is the name of the game when it comes to Baby Jogger’s stroller testing. That's why they make sure every element receives a full durability check - from opening and closing a canopy 10,000 times to folding/unfolding a stroller 3,000 times, absolutely nothing goes untested!
Lifetime warranty
As well as ensuring each pushchair is made to the highest standard, Baby Jogger feel so confident with their testing that all stroller and jogger frames will be free from manufacturer defects over its product lifetime. That's why they've offered a lifetime warranty on all their pushchairs.
