Great initially, but now useless
"I was lucky enough to be gifted this gate for my honest review of the product. The gate is one of the most stylish I’ve seen, and it doesn’t make our doorway look as prison-like as standard gates. It is fixed to the doorframe using the screws provided, and even comes with a handy mini spirit level to assist in mounting the gate straight. It was easy to put up and is even easier to use. The handy green/red markers allow you to see if you’ve not quite managed to shut the gate properly. I particularly like that it doesn’t have a bar that goes across the floor, so hoovering around the gate is hassle-free, and there is no risk of tripping over it. One negative is that it is quite pricey in comparison to others on the market. But if you’re after a high end classy gate, to fit in with your home then look no further. I've waited a few months to do this review, to get a proper feel of it and, up until a week ago, I loved it. However, a week ago my two year old ran into it when it was open, and now the hinges have snapped. It's completely unusable, and if I had paid nearly £200.00 for it I would be absolutely gutted! It should have some sort of feature on it that releases the hinges rather than causing them to snap. You wouldn’t get that happen with a cheap metal stair gate, which I am now having to buy."
