Previously Omni 360, the Omni Classic offers four ergonomic carry positions to suit your growing baby and their growing curiosity, allowing them to explore the world in new ways in comfort and safety. The straps easily adjust to perfectly cradle your little one from newborn in to toddlerhood without the need for an extra infant insert, and the lumbar support means aching backs will never put a stop to your adventures together.
The Omni Classic is designed to safely carry newborns without the need for an infant insert.
The Omni Classic carrier is suitable for newborns weighing 7lbs/3.2kg and 20in/50.8cm up to 45lbs/20.4kg, typically around 3–4 years old. The carrier adjusts to support your baby as they grow. For comfort and safety, ensure your baby is seated deeply in the carrier with a snug fit and adjust straps as needed.
Use the seat adjustment tabs on the inside of the waistband to narrow or widen the seat based on your baby’s height. For babies 20–24in/50.8–61cm (0–3 months), follow the red line indicators; 24–28in/61–71cm (3–9 months), yellow line; and over 28in/71cm (9 months+), blue line. Please use caution as the numerical guidelines above may not match true sizing exactly - the intent is to make sure that the width fills out to the napes of baby's knees.
For newborns up to 6 weeks (minimum 7lbs/3.2kg), fold the head and neck support inside and button it to the lower buttons on the front for a snug fit. Position the top edge of the carrier at mid-ear level by adjusting the body of the carrier up or down on your torso. This plays an important roll in the overall positioning of baby. Around 7 weeks, when babies begin to hold and turn their head for short periods, fold the support on the outside and button to the lower buttons. For older babies or when extra support is needed, such as during sleep, you can also button the head and neck support in the upright position. When carrying your baby facing out (minimum 14lbs/6.4kg), fold the support down on the outside, button to the lower buttons, and ensure your baby's chin clears the top edge of the carrier body. There should be at least two fingers width clearance between the baby's chin and the top of the carrier.
You can wear the Omni Classic carrier with the shoulder straps crossed on your back in the front carry position, whether your baby is facing in or facing out. Choosing crossed (X) or parallel straps (H straps) is based on your personal comfort preference. Crossed straps are ideal for parents with narrower or wider shoulders. This setup is also helpful for parents with limited mobility, as you don’t need to reach behind to fasten or tighten the chest strap — all adjustments and buckling are done in the front.
