Important Safety Notice: Britax Römer BABY-SAFE PRO Voluntary Recall

At Natural Baby Shower, your child's safety is our highest priority. We would like to inform customers of a voluntary product recall issued by Britax Römer affecting a specific production range of the BABY-SAFE PRO infant carrier.

Which products are affected?

Britax Römer has announced a voluntary recall of selected BABY-SAFE PRO car seats manufactured between 26 December 2025 and 30 September 2026.

The recall relates to the use of the BABY-SAFE PRO when installed on the VARIO BASE 5Z in its most reclined position. No issue has been reported when:

Britax Römer has confirmed that the BABY-SAFE PRO continues to comply with UN Regulation 129 safety standards in all installation configurations.

What should customers do?

If your BABY-SAFE PRO was manufactured between 26 December 2025 and 30 September 2026, Britax Römer advises that you continue to use the product in one of the following ways until a replacement or modification has been arranged:

Option 1

Use the BABY-SAFE PRO in the upright position when installed on the VARIO BASE 5Z.

Option 2

Install the BABY-SAFE PRO using your vehicle's seat belt, following the instructions in the user manual. In this configuration, all recline positions can continue to be used.

Products not affected

All BABY-SAFE PRO car seats manufactured before 26 December 2025 are not affected by this recall and can continue to be used as normal in accordance with the user instructions.

How do I check my production date?

The production date can be found on the product label located on the underside of the BABY-SAFE PRO seat shell.

Britax Römer is currently finalising a dedicated recall support programme for affected customers.
