About MAMA Academy and their Free Parent Helpline

For our first Natural Baby Show of 2025, we are partnering with the UK's safer pregnancy charity MAMA Academy. As our Baby Show is all about supporting soon-to-be parents and offering expert advice and personalised product recommendations, what better partnership than an organisation who's mission is to empower expectant parents and help their babies arrive more safely. 

In this blog, hear from MAMA Academy about their free family helpline, who it's for and how you can get in touch if you need support.

Welcoming a new baby can be an exciting time but it can also be a little overwhelming. Whether you're a first-time parent, expecting after previous challenges, or a partner, friend, or family member supporting a soon-to-be parent, it’s completely normal to experience a mix of emotions during this time.

At MAMA Academy, we understand that sometimes you just have questions or anxieties that won’t go away, and we’re here to help. Our friendly midwives have all undergone additional training (including in bereavement), to ensure that they are able to listen, reassure, and guide you through every twist and turn of your pregnancy.

Who is the Helpline For?

●       For New and Soon-to-Be Parents: If you’re feeling anxious or uncertain about the road ahead, whether it’s your first pregnancy or you’ve faced past challenges, our helpline is here to offer emotional support.

●       For Partners and Family: Supporting a loved one through pregnancy can bring its own worries and questions. Our service is available to birthing partners, Dads, and family members who need someone to talk to.

●       For Those Who've Experienced Loss: If you have recently gone through a stillbirth, miscarriage or abortion, our Helpline provides a compassionate space to share your feelings and find comfort.
