The Ergobaby Metro is all about comfort, convenience and portability perfect for parents on the go. Designed specifically for use on buses, cars and underground, it also fits in most airlines overhead compartments weighing less than 6.3kg.
The Ergobaby Metro is also the only stroller currently on the market certified “back healthy” for baby and parent by the AGR of Germany. Sounds too good to be true? Well we just had to find out! We put the Ergobaby Metro through it’s paces with the help of 2 of our parent testers. Keep reading to find out what they thought of this new compact city stroller in Newborn and 6+ months…

We absolutely LOVE the Ergobaby Metro Compact City Stroller. We're wondering WHERE it has been all our lives! Well, more all our daughters life.
It arrived in a very small box and was super easy to set up - it hardly took any time at all. We instantly loved the look of it and could see how comfortable it would be for our daughter. She has never enjoyed being strapped into buggies but she has never once complained whilst in the Ergobaby Metro.
We live in South London and spend a considerable amount of time getting trains, buses and the tube to get about. We also regularly fly back to Ireland to visit my wife's family. The Ergobaby Metro Compact is ideal for travelling and being on the move - we no longer have to worry about squeezing awkwardly down bus aisles or finding nowhere to store our buggy on a train. It folds up extremely easily and speedily into a neat cube that actually has a handle for carrying it about (and you can even purchase a travel bag to put it in!). It takes up minimal space when all folded up so also ideal for small hallways or those with limited storage space.
Is by far one of the lightest buggies I've ever seen or used and my wife, who has a bad back, really appreciated how much easier it is to steer and carry up an down stairs. But for something so light weight it is also really well made, sturdy and solid. We love the big cushioned handlebar as it makes the Metro super easy to steer. It rides so smoothly on any surface - it has even been off road several times when chasing an adventurous toddler through the mud in the park.
Our daughter Ada loves to sleep on the go so the adjustable seat is a godsend and she's had many long naps nestled cosily in her Ergobaby stroller! The large sun canopy always keeps her covered up, too, so we don't have to worry about sun or wind disturbing her too much. The other big bonus is the space underneath the seat for shopping and it has a handy pocket behind the seat for smaller items.
All in all, we couldn't recommend it any more highly! It looks great and is super practical.

I was chosen to review the Ergobaby Metro Compact City Stroller with the addition of the Newborn kit. The packaging the stroller came in had minimal amount of plastic which I loved, and the majority of the packaging was recyclable. When the stroller arrived it required no putting together, you could literally grab it out of the box and go!
The stroller looked stylish, it’s not flimsy at all like some other traditional strollers. I avoided buying a stroller with my first child as I only imagined them as being the typical flimsy 90’s stroller with cartoons all over the seat! This is so far away from that image and I am really pleasantly surprised.
The Ergobaby Metro Compact stroller folds so compactly it takes up barely any space in the house. My fellow pregnant pal saw it folded up in my boot and was absolutely shocked (and I think a little jealous) at how little space it took up. Considering you have to take the wheels off a lot of pushchairs to get them in the boot, I’m not surprised she was jealous!
I love that it can also be folded up with the newborn kit still attached. This means there is no faffing around taking the kit off and finding extra separate storage space for it. Speaking of the newborn kit, it is really substantial with lots of padding as well as offering nice shelter for the elements for newborns.
The pushchair has loads of storage space underneath as well as having an extra handy zip pocket for keeping personal items such as your phone or keys safe and secure.
This compact stroller would be absolutely ideal for taking on a holiday as it fits into overhead cabins, has a lie flat option which will be perfect for holiday naps and the sun coverage is perfect!
Whilst I love this stroller there are a few little niggles that I think I should point out. I do wish the 6 months+ stroller element could be parent facing as well. I also found it a little tricky to take the newborn kit off and add the stroller part initially. But I put this down to it being new and a little stiff. I think once we get the hang of it, it really will be a breeze. Plus I am not known for my ability to follow directions!
And that is literally it! Even the negatives aren’t really negatives. I have absolutely loved testing out the Metro Compact City Stroller and have found myself showing it off to everyone!
