I was over the moon when I was told that we were getting to review and keep the Elodie Details stroller bag from Natural Baby Shower.
When I received the parcel I was so excited. The stroller bag was lovingly and elegantly packaged and arrived in a stylish dust bag. I knew straight away that it was a good quality item.
I absolutely love this stroller bag, I love it because it's super stylish and perfect for cold outdoor walks. It's really warm so when I go out with my daughter I don't need to put her in a jacket or gloves. The best thing is if we do go indoors the top piece is completely detachable (with big, quality zippers that run smoothly) so it's perfect for warmer environments too.
Bonnie is 9 months and I would say she fits the stroller bag perfectly, my only con would be if you had a younger or smaller baby you wouldn't want to zip the bag right up as it would come up very close to their little face. It would fit better buttoned down for a younger baby, which means it is still usable though.
The stroller bag is easy to use and is very practical, our daughter loves it as much as I do, for the week we have used the stroller bag Bonnie has slept like a baby (no pun intended!). The times I've just used a blanket on our stroller it just got caught under the wheels so for me, a stroller bag is an essential item.
We chose the midnight bells design which compliments our Bugaboo stroller perfectly. The colours are vibrant and comes complete with a gorgeous faux fur trim on the hood. Compared to other footmuffs or stroller bags I've seen this one is the best quality, very warm and water resistant too. There are handy slits in the back of the stroller bag to fit the 5 point harness, they matched up with our pushchair really well so we had no difficulties at all.
Overall I think the Elodie Details stroller bag is excellent. The bag is not the cheapest but you are paying for quality and for the use you'll get out of it I think it is good value for money.

Whilst pregnant with my now two year old, I’d spend my evenings scrolling the internet, browsing ‘baby essential’ lists and buying every single item that I stumbled upon. Little did I know that I was pretty much wasting my money because most of these ‘must have’ items, weren’t ever used. Now that we are up and out of the baby stage and I am now pregnant with baby number two, I’ve used my previous experience and written my own list of essentials that I feel are the absolute necessities with a baby. One thing on my list, which I think is pretty important if you have winter babies like me, is a footmuff.
The first thing I noticed about the footmuff, which others I have previously owned didn’t have, was the hood. Keeping your babies head warm is so incredibly important and even with the addition of a hat, sometimes the wind or snow can still creep in and be sore on those little ears. To have extra security around the head, gives peace of mind that your baby will stay warm and sheltered (and hopefully keep them asleep for longer). This is probably one of my favourite features of the footmuff, with its removable faux fur trim it gives practicality and style.
Another huge pro to this genius creation, is the thickness of the footmuff itself. I have fallen victim to the idea of buying a cheaper product that supposedly does just as good of a job as a more expensive one. But as a matter of fact all you end up with is a very thin piece of material which then needs an extra blanket tucked in underneath, which totally defeats the object of a footmuff. The Dots of Fauna, has heat insulated panels and the outer layer is wind and water resistant so you can rest assure that your baby is super snuggly inside. (What I’d give to be small enough to fit inside one of these during the cold winter months).
As I already have a two year old, we’ve had our fair share of prams and pushchairs. I tested the footmuff out on all three of the current prams we have. One being your standard newborn to toddler pram, one is an off road buggy which is quite bulky and the other is a small and lightweight pram which compacts down to the size of a small bag. The Dots of Fauna footmuff fit all three of these very different prams! I’m consciously trying to save money on new baby items so this is music to my ears and has meant that I don’t have to buy three seperate footmuffs for each pram.
It also has a pocket flap which prevents the footmuff from sliding, perfect for trying to get your wriggly baby in and out without it falling onto the floor. But even if you were to have a ‘footmuff slipped off and into a puddle’ incident or if you have babies/toddlers who like to eat their way through your snack packs and leaving the reminiscence all over footmuff, you can pop it straight into the wash once you get home. It can then be tumble dried if you are in a rush to head back out again. Nothing excites a Mum more than items that can be popped into the washer and don’t have the dreaded ‘hand wash only’ tag on, who has time to do that?
My last huge pro is the thing that struck me the most as soon as I got the footmuff out of its dust bag and that is just how beautiful it really is. The design is just timeless! It’s a gorgeous white/grey colour covered with specks of black, dark and light grey which make it unisex and perfect for parents like me who aren’t sure of the gender of their next arrival. It also means it can be used again and again for future children.
It is a classic and subtle design which I can’t get enough of and it instantly makes a ‘regular pram’ look luxurious. I cannot wait to have my new arrival all snuggled up inside of this wonderful product!
