Parent Tester: Rachael Murray - Bumbo Multi Seat
The Bumbo Multi Seat is suitable from six months to 3 years meaning I can use it with both my baby daughter and toddler son. It’s so versatile and can be used as a supportive floor seat, feeding seat or a booster seat. A busy mum’s dream!
First impressions were that it looked really modern and a lot classier than other kids seats, much more in keeping with the decor of our house.
I really liked this chair as a high chair alternative. It is incredibly simple to use and easily converts from floor seat to high chair by simply strapping in onto your dining chair. The straps that secure it clip on super neatly when they are not needed and you can easily remove/turn around the height booster to adjust to your child as they grow. The inner liner also just pulls out and can be very cleverly stored under the main seat. Also the straps are easily removed for cleaning, perfect after a messy meal. I love the tray that is slotted into the back of the seat when not in use and it’s so easy to pull out and secure to the chair when needed, you can easily do this one handed or even when baby is in the chair.
This saves space in my kitchen/dining room as there is now no need for a high chair as you can use it freely with the tray to have it near you when you are cooking/washing up etc or push it up to the table so baby can eat with the family. My daughter loved being sat up with her big brothers. The only downside to it being on the chair is that in the highest/youngest mode you can’t push the chair away under the table, so looks a little untidy. As a booster my toddler was really happy sat in it, it was the perfect height and easily cleaned, especially as it can be used without straps.
I’ve loved using the Bumbo Multi Seat for feeding or for having the little ones join us at the table, however I wish it was suitable for ages lower than 6 months. It would be amazing if it could be used from 3 months, like the Bumbo floor seat can.
Bumbo booster seat
The Bumbo Booster seat is perfect for toddlers who have outgrown the Bumbo Multi Seat but who aren't yet big enough to sit on a proper chair at the table. I really liked the look of this in grey, it’s simple modern and blends well with my furniture.
The booster seat is sturdy and secure when it is strapped on to the chair, I like that it is very easily adjustable. My son doesn't like to be in a high chair anymore as he likes to be treated as a big boy, but he isn't tall enough for a standard chair yet. However, he was very happy sat on the booster seat, it gives him the ability to sit on a normal chair but with that extra boost it makes him the perfect height to eat at the table. This booster doesn’t look like a ‘baby’ seat so it’s perfect and passes my sons "big boy" test. The material is also brilliant because it moulds slightly which looks super comfy and is easily wiped clean without staining – great for messy eaters!
The only negative I have is that the lap straps can’t be removed so they can be washed a little easier. But all in all, I highly recommend and couldn't be without now!
