Introducing the versatile Nutribaby+ foodmaker from babymoov - ideal to use for weaning baby as well as hungry parents and older siblings! It's super easy-to-use and offers 4 appliances in 1: a bottle warmer, steriliser, steamer and blender. We chose five trusted Parent Testers to put it through it's paces so keep reading to find out why they've given the Nutribaby+ their 'Parent Approved' seal of approval...

Parent Tester 1: Jenna Green

Firstly let me introduce myself, I am Jenna a mum of two boys, a fussy 4 year old (Oliver) and a 7 month old (Tommy). We are a busy family who are always on the go, we eat a pescetarian diet so it's important that I can cook quick and nutritional meals for the boys easily therefore I was delighted to have the chance to test the Nutribaby+.

My first impressions of the product was that it looked really stylish and it didn't have that typical "baby product" look. I liked that it was compact enough to sit on a kitchen work top and had a modern white appearance. It's a clever idea that you can separate the steamer and blender for an even more compact product and easy storage . Setting up the product was really easy but the instruction manual could have been improved. It took a bit of flicking through to find the correct language.

Once I had got to grip with the user manual, using the product was really simple. The control panel is a great feature and very easy to use. I was able to steam and blend 4 portions of carrot and sweet potatoes for my 7 month old within 10 minutes. I love that the steamer collects the water from the vegetables and can then be added again when blending so no nutrition from the cooking process is lost. I liked the different speed settings on the blender which allows you to make food as smooth or textured as you like. Tommy is enjoying more lumpy food now and I was able to create the perfect texture for him with a couple of clicks, something I could never master with my previous blender. Cleaning the Nutribaby+ after use was easy.

We have a small kitchen so multi-functional products are ideal for us. I was impressed that the Nutribaby+ could not only steam and blend but could also be used to sterilise, defrost and heat up bottles/jars.
I was only able to sterilise one bottle at a time so at present we aren't able to ditch our regular electric steriliser as Tommy has 3 bottles a day and it's easier for me to sterilise them all at once at the end of the day. It would be efficient enough for a baby who only has the occasional bottle or for sterilising small items like soothers or teething toys.

I am guilty of regularly forgetting to take something out the freezer the night before for Tommy to eat the next day so the defrost function came in handy.
The downloadable app is a good idea but could be improved, I didn't get much inspiration from it to be honest.

I have used the Nutribaby+ to cook a variety of different meals not just for the children but for the grown ups too. We have made lots of different fruit purees that the boys have enjoyed with porridge and yogurt and the grown ups have whizzed into breakfast smoothies. I also cooked various different vegetable combinations for Tommy to stock up the freezer, finger foods such as sweet potato wedges and broccoli florets and speedy family meals like steamed fish with green veg. The blender has been great for disguising some of the fruit and veg that Oliver will usually refuse to eat so I can sneak them into him without all the fuss!

The Nutribaby+ is a great multi-functional product that definitely makes life easier for parents. It's ideal for first weaning and beyond. It's stylish and would fit in with modern kitchens. It's certainly made meal times quick and easy for us.

Parent Tester 2: Laura Jane

Being a very busy mum of four children I never had much time to learn to cook over the years and struggled to always keep my meals completely healthy or even exciting. Now I've received my Nutribaby+ my shopping trolley is always filled with fruit and vegetables, orange juice and natural yogurts to experiment with and I'm forever online on the look out for new recipes for smoothies for the whole family and purees to steam and blend for my son. Or even just carrot batons and broccoli in the highchair rather than crisps.

I also have the option of heating my son's baby jars in the Nutribaby+ too. It's simple and quick and has helped me to reduce sugar in our diets! My pregnant sister even comes over for homemade smoothies now.

I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a fashionable looking, versatile machine. Also maybe a family who have food allergies or intolerances who want to know exactly whats being put in their food. They would definitely benefit from having one of these in their home. I love my Nutribaby+!

Parent Tester 3: Crystal George

Introducing the Nutribaby+ which is just a dream for baby weaning. Entering the world of weaning is daunting but with a little help from babymoov it's made so much easier.

The Nutribaby+ was delivered in excellent condition to my home, where the box gave you all the information as to what it does and how it works. All neatly and safely packaged up inside, it came in sections to help confusion when fitting it all together. It was very easy to put together and the instruction book (once you hunt down the English) was very helpful. Once set up it looks very stylish and modern, a lovely addition to any kitchen. Within a few minutes we were all set up and ready to make a fruity snack.

We chose to make some mixed berry puree with frozen fruit as I wanted to test how to defrost food in the steamer section. The only snag we hit while trying to do this was working out where the water goes and how you fill it. There is a little measuring pot tucked in the middle section at the back, pull the white lip up and a nifty little measuring tube comes out which you can use to fill the steamer with water.

I defrosted the fruit for a few seconds before blending. It was very quiet while steaming which is always nice, us mothers don't need extra noise if we can help it right? The timer settings were very easy to work out and so handy. Instead of standing there waiting you can keep an eye on those kiddies and leave the room without having to keep checking it.

Once soft enough to put in the blender side, I used the handy spatula that is included with the machine to scoop it all in. This was a little trickier to work out, as I hadn't fitted the blender in fully so it took a few minutes to work out that but once I did it was super fast and blended in seconds. This was of course a little noisier because, well, it's a blender but this is a given and didn't frighten my child so that's a mum win.

Once again, I used the handy spatula (this is where it is super helpful) to scoop out the puree into a bowl - still nice and chilled from not defrosting to the point it was warm it made for a great cold puree for my teething baby.

I think this is a great product for busy mothers, steaming with a timer and you don't have to use this just for your baby, I've been using it for steaming vegetables for all our dinners. Having a steamer and a blender in one stylish machine is so helpful for your weaning journey, whether you decide to do purees at 6 months or baby led weaning this will help you with every meal time.

Overall, I'd say my baby approves and so do I, we'll be using this for meal times for baby and parents. A great product with a fabulous look, definitely one for the must have list!

Parent Tester 4: Alison Cokely Clarke

The last few months have been exceptionally hard with two little boys under 2 and my youngest boy having multiple food allergies so when I found out I had been chosen as a winner/reviewer for the Nutribaby+ I honestly couldn’t believe it.

I had a fairly easy weaning process with my 22 month old and had been able to get away with using a steamer over a saucepan and a hand blender. But when my younger son (now 8 months) started to show interest in food I quickly realised I couldn’t rely on the basic set up from before.

There were two issues. Firstly, he had multiple food allergies (allergic to diary, soya and gluten) so I had to prepare almost everything from scratch, separate from our food. Secondly, I was so busy and exhausted with the boys that I just didn’t have the time and space to plan ahead and get food out for defrosting; get all the different bits of equipment out that I needed to steam and blend; and have time to spend in the kitchen watching saucepans to make sure they didn’t boil over or dry out.

I have to say that the Nutribaby+ not only solved all the above but it also made our lives easier in so many other ways – like being able to steam our vegetables for our dinner while we put the boys to bed and knowing they would be really nicely cooked and we would be able to eat earlier than normal.

The arrival of the Nutribaby+ was really exciting for me and my oldest son, although I think he was more excited to see a big box! I got it set up straight away and was using it within a couple of hours of its arrival.  I found the steamer particularly easy to use and loved the fact you had 2 different levels to do different types of vegetables and fruit.  It meant I could batch cook a large amount for the week in one go or I could do both savoury and sweet to cover a few days of different meals.

I use the Nutribaby+ at least twice every day. It's a life saver in the morning as I have to give my youngest gluten free porridge oats and he will only eat it if I blitz it up every day with almond milk and banana. I also use it most days to steam pears, apples, and apricots for him as the special formula he is on gives him constipation.  I then use the steamed fruit water as a cooled down drink for him when he is having his meals. I have also found the defrost function a life saver for those days when you forget to get a meal out of the freezer before the kids start to cry with hunger.

Also one of the biggest advantages to the Nutribaby+ was that almost all of it went in the dishwasher and it was so easy to take apart. It actually encouraged me to use it more knowing I could stick it straight in the dishwasher and forget about it.

The only negative point I had with set up was that I could have used an easier cheat sheet.  I struggled with the instructions (this may just be my sleep deprived brain!) and didn’t find them easy to navigate – particularly getting the blender set up as it took me a quite a few reads to identify you had to pull a little power section out for it to stand on to get it going. But it was only a small issue and once I worked it out there was no stopping me!

It’s so versatile I keep finding new ways to use it.  We never bought anything like this with my first son as it just seemed like an extravagance we couldn’t afford at the time. But now having one I have realised it’s actually been an essential piece of kit for us and meant I have spent less time in the kitchen and more time with the boys.

I absolutely love the product and I can see myself using it way beyond the weaning process. Thank you so much from all of us.
