Natural Baby Shower Supports #Stripes4Stripey2020 Campaign
As part of our continued support of one our charity partners, Stripey Stork, we are taking part in #Stripes4Stripey2020. On Thursday 18th June 2020, Natural Baby Shower will be showing their support and helping Stripey Stork in their mission to help families in need, who need essential baby and parenting goods now more than ever.
Stripey Stork work hard to support parents by collecting new and pre-loved items for babies, children and parents, which then get distributed back into the community to families that need the help. The work they do is invaluable to those families that struggle to get the basic essentials for their families. In light of the COVID-19 crisis, demand for Stripey Stork’s services has grown and they are busier than ever with families facing real hardship and strain during these difficult times. However, due to the risk of spreading the virus, Stripey Stork have had to stop accepting physical item donations. As a result, they are now relying on financial donations more than ever in order to help supply families with the basic essentials they need for the health and safety of their little ones.
We have been working extremely closely with them, and our other charity partners, over the past few months to help as much as we can. From the start of the current crisis we have run a number of charity campaigns and are proud to say we have donated over £5,000 to charity so far, with £5,017 going to Stripey Stork. We wanted to help raise awareness of Stripey Stork's amazing work but also help to raise more money so they can all continue this amazing work. So for the second year running, we will be taking part and supporting Stripey Stork in their #Stripes4Stripey 2020 campaign. What is #Stripes4Stripey
#Stripes4Stripey is Stripey Storks annual day where they ask all of their supporters to rock stripes for the day in honour of the charity and to raise awareness and funds for the amazing charity.
On Thursday 18th June they’re asking every Stripey Stork fan, supporter, member of staff and sponsor to show solidarity in wearing stripes – whether socks, a top, an accessory or a fashion statement you’ve been desperate to show-off – and donate to Stripey Stork to help a family in need.
The aim of the day is to help spread the word, raise essential funds and most importantly have fun! This year Natural Baby Shower wants to help make it even bigger and better than last year and help our friends at Stripey Stork.
The funds raised on the day will be used to help families facing challenges due to the unprecedented circumstances, and also be used throughout the year to buy new items needed to complement the pre-loved items included in children’s clothing packs – such as underwear, socks and nightwear- and complete donations. It is important items such as these are clean, new and in good condition.
These essential items make such a difference to children and families who are in need of a helping hand and a touch of love.
How are NBS getting involved?
The whole NBS team will be earning our stripes and rocking our favourite stripey combinations for the day at home to the max. But that’s not all… we wanted to go one step further.
Because we love our stripey wardrobe, we want to help our customers stock up on the stripes as well by creating a special exclusive stripe collection in honour of this amazing day. All of our favourite stripey products will be in one place for you to shop, from those adorable socks for little feet to those super stylish statement to stripey changing bags. So, everyone can earn their stripes a little easier we will also be offering up to 50% OFF the whole stripey collection for 4 days, until Monday 22nd June.
But that’s not all, we wanted to do even more to support our charity partner. With the COVID-19 crisis having an ongoing and escalating financial effect on families across the country, Stripey Stork need to ensure they have reserve funds and enough for essential items to meet this increasing demand, so we also want to donate to support their mission. So, we will be donating 10% of all sales from the stripey collection from Thursday 18th June – Monday 22nd June to the #Stripes4Stripey fund. The more you shop, the more we will donate. The perfect excuse for guilt free shopping!
