I am Charlotte a Mum of 2 to my little girl Florence 4 and my little boy Ellis who has just turned 2. We were kindly sent a Lassig About Friends Children Backpack to give our honest review by the lovely people at Natural Baby Shower. We were sent a very sweet Panda backpack and it went down a treat with my little boy, Ellis who is 2 years old and despite me being 34 years old I also thought it was incredibly sweet!
The bag arrived in the post in eco friendly packaging, brown recyclable paper style bag which I am always so delighted to see, so that was a huge positive for me. Inside the outer packaging it was wrapped in a small amount plastic however that had kept it clean in transit should the paper bag of been ripped. So overall I was very impressed with the way it was packaged and most importantly it did turn up clean and as described.
As mentioned above I was sent the Panda style backpack for my son and it did look as it did on the photo on the website and as described. In fact when I opened it, it was actually much bigger than I thought it would be and my initial thought is that I would use it for days out however once opening it and having seen the size, I decided I would use it for clothing, small lunch box etc on the days my little boy attends the Childminders as it is such a good size.
The quality of the backpack is very good, it is very well made with no loose threads and none of the stitching coming away which is something I have experienced in other backpacks for my children. When it is in use with all the stuff in it, I cannot see any of the straps struggling or that they look that they may start to come away. Overall, so far with the use I have had out of it, I believe it really is a very good quality backpack.
It is incredibly easy to use, very easy to adjust the straps to fit your child and once on it is very secure on your child, no slipping off of the shoulders or sliding down. My little boy is actually quite fussy and doesn't like to feel restrained in anyway, but he immediately wanted to have a go wearing the backpack.
It also has some lovely features one being that it has arms which connect together with magnets which my little boy absolutely loved. Another very handy little feature is that inside it has a little pocket to put a drink in to keep it from moving all round the backpack, as a parent I found that a very handy little feature as no one wants a drink spilling in the bag. One other little feature that I particularly like was that inside the bag there was a designated space to write your little ones name, always handy when you don't have to sew in a label, particularly if you are terrible at sewing like me!
I believe in writing an honest review and honestly so far the month we have been using the backpack I cannot fault it, it has come in very handy and not only is it practical, it is so very cute but also stylish too. Plus the biggest thing for me is that my little boy appears to really like it and enjoys wearing it without any fussing which to me is a big positive. As parents we have enough battles to pick and wearing his backpack is not a battle we have to worry about now as he loves wearing his Panda Lassig About Friends backpack.
It retails at £33.95 which in first instance may seem a bit more than what you may be prepared to pay for a children's backpack but trust me sometimes money is well spent, I feel this backpack is of excellent quality and an overall very good product that I am sure will stand the test of time. I will be ordering my 4 year old daughter one too as she also fell in love with it! A definite firm favourite in our household that we wouldn't be without.
And finally my gosh does my little toddling 2 year old look blooming cute walking around proudly with a little Panda backpack on his back! Wholeheartedly recommended from me!

This cute little bag arrived simply and neatly packaged in Natural Baby Shower's branded recyclable paper packaging. Although smaller than I thought (my fault for not checking measurements), it is absolutely perfect for little ones. The design and pattern are beautiful. We chose Cali the wombat, after lots of deliberation from her.
I am really impressed with the quality. It's made from a thick, sturdy material unlike your standard child's back pack. It has strong wide zips with large pulls for ease of the child. Inside the bag is a slot to put the water bottle in, keeping it upright and preventing leaks and a little name and number label. On the back it has a hook for hanging up on a peg if requried. The straps are lovely and padded. The adjustment strap is a webbed design which stops the straps slipping at all by accident. There is a clipped chest strap made from the same webbing, perfect for supporting the weight on the child's back.
My daughter normally struggles taking clips apart, however thanks to the smooth rounded design of this one, she is able to manage it.
The magnet hands are a really sweet addition to the design. She loves switching them about between the ears and mouth depending on her mood.
I love how easily she gets this back pack on herself, she normally gets one arm in then stands there waving the other arm around hopelessly searching. With this bag, she has it on, chest clip done up and is off in no time at all.
We have taken the bag out on a couple of walks. There is plenty of space for all the essentials including her water bottle, some toys, the favourite teddy and of course a spare pair of trousers ready for the inevitable fall over. There was still some room left over.
As well as being used outside it has been played with daily at home. It gets taken on picnics, to the supermarket and regularly to school, all in the comfort of our own home.
I can see it coming on many adventures. It will be especially useful when flying as she can now keep her activities and food for the flight in her own bag.
I can't imagine our days without it now. It is certainly very loved.

We thoroughly enjoyed using the bag and the opportunity to put it to the test, it was fun!
The package arrived via Royal Mail, signed for post, my only comment around the delivery was it didn’t arrive at the time expected, Royal Mail had text to say when it would arrive within a given time slot, however they hadn’t managed to keep within this time period and it was delivered in the afternoon instead of the morning as promised.
The packaging was good. I was pleased to see it was in a paper wrapping which was fully recyclable, so top marks there.
The bag is the perfect size and completely as expected, with plenty of room for the items I intended to use it for. The colour is also as expected with it being made with lovely eye catching colours for a child.
The bag is of high quality and very well made, the fabric is thick and hardwearing and the zips are also very sturdy. I feel the bag will pass the test of time thanks to this amazing quality. Bearing in mind the quality of the item I feel the price reflects this.
The back pocket is nice and handy, which we made use of with storing dummies. Also the bottle holder pocket on the inside is perfect for keeping a bottle of milk upright. A great feature of the bag is the use of the magnets, so it can make several different faces, a lovely and fun touch.
As Aspen is only 3 months old we can’t really say if he enjoyed using it and in all honesty it’s as big as he is but I’m sure he will love it when he’s older! We shall enjoy using it going for sleepovers at grandma and grandads and also when we go swimming.
