Joolz recently introduced their new and improved Day+. Full of clever new features and thoughtful extras to make it one smart, comfortable and future proof stroller for all your adventures. The Joolz Day+ is a 3-in-1 pushchair. It comes with a cot, seat and possibility to add your car seat to the chassis. They’ve even added clever LED lights to improve visibility when walking in the dark. But of course, we had to put it to the real test, with our trusted parent testers. Keep reading to hear what they thought of the new Joolz Day+.

After being announced as winners to test the Joolz Day + we were extremely excited to receive this pram.  We currently have our second baby and with our first, after much deliberation we had opted for a Mamas & Papas pram and this time round we didn't really look at many other options and just went back to the tried and trusted, I'm so glad we had the chance to try something different.

The pram arrived in one cardboard box with all the contents well packaged to stop any damage. It was a nice touch that the cardboard box has markings so it can be cut up to make a boat which our 4 year old was most excited about.

When unpackaging the colour was exactly as expected and so glad we chose the anthracite, it really adds a modern but classy finish to the pram.  Setting up the pram was quite easy following the instructions and took about 30/45mins. One bit that could be improved is when converting the carrycot to the stroller seat there was a step missing from the manual after unzipping the fabric to tell you to unclip the carrycot fabric from the frame via a plastic strip at the base. We actually had to look on youtube for videos of previous Day models to find out what to do.  This however was the only issue we had and the rest of the pram and stroller were easy to put together.

Once together the quality of the materials used for the pram were clear to see.  The finish on the metal frame was a brilliant matte finish and the fabric was of a real high quality to, the pram really did feel and look great.  We didn't set up the pram till the evening and so couldn't wait to get out and test it.

So the Joolz Day + was very easy to use, we didn't use the carrycot as our daughter is out of the newborn stage and likes to be sat up however looking at the carrycot it looked very comfortable, was spacious, had good ventilation points for the warmer months and I can't see why our daughter would not have been perfectly happy in there if we had used it.

It is easy to put the seat onto and remove from the pram using the two grey buttons on the pegs. The stroller section of the pram was very comfortable and the straps were very easy to adjust compared to previous prams, being able to adjust the height of the straps without removing them was a godsend.  When buckled up the 5 point harness kept our 4 month old daughter comfy and secure.  The hood gave plenty of shade when required and the moving of the seat from laid back to sat up was effortless with this being done at the top of the stroller rather than round the back like some other prams.

The height adjustment on the handle is really good and gives a wide range of different heights.  The basket underneath the pram although not the biggest was plenty big enough and easy to access with the back of the basket dropping down which made it a lot easier to place items in and remove them.  When taking the pram out and about it handled all different terrains well from pavements to off road the suspension and wheels kept our little girl comfortable and made it effortless pushing the pram.

This pram seems nice and compact at the same time as having plenty of room and feeling solid but also not too heavy.  We thoroughly enjoyed taking our daughter out in the pram.  We brought the Joolz cosy toes to go with this pram due to the weather this time of year and it was superb also keeping our daughter warm and cosy.  Folding the pram was easy, because the stroller was parent facing this was removed from the pram in seconds and the process for folding the pram was extremely easy and when folded rests in a nice compact way that was easy to get in and out of the car.

Our daughter absolutely loved the pram just as much as we did.  She was comfy and content throughout our time testing the pram and it was a joy to use.  It looks stylish and was so easy and fun to use we really couldn't live without this pram and are so glad that we were lucky enough to have the opportunity to test it.  The Joolz Day + is a very welcomed addition to the family.

The product arrived in a single big box. Opening it, I found a beautiful pushchair with a silver coloured chassis, 4 puncture proof wheels, a comfy carrycot and pushchair seat. The bassinet and chassis were simple to put together (admittedly my husband did this and our toddler enjoyed helping to pass him the wheels to put on and playing in the huge box once it was empty).

The first thing we noticed was how much higher up the bassinet is than on other prams. I am 5ft4 and the handlebar at the lowest height is right for me. At the highest setting it would be perfect for someone who is tall. The mattress feels cushioned and the head cushion makes me feel reassured that my baby is well protected. I was sent the classic blue pram which is a gorgeous colour, not too bright and not too dark with a silver trim and tan handle. It looks very stylish. Because the bassinet is in an elevated position it appears that it would allow for lots of space in the basket underneath. However, there is a bar across the chassis which does limit the size of products that can be put in the basket. The spring loaded access means you are able to access your items easily and also protects them from rain. The rain cover does take up a lot of basket space. Joolz do have a large shopping bag product that can be purchased for the handlebar but this is quite an expensive extra.

One potential downfall for anyone who has an older child as well is that in order to use the pushchair seat (6months plus) you have to remove parts from the bassinet and zip them into the seat. You are not able to simply switch seats over like other branded travel systems.

My first thoughts on our first outing were that the pram seemed to have very good suspension and felt very smooth to push. It is a sturdy pram and therefore quite heavy so I did struggle a bit to push and steer it with one hand. My baby did not appear to be bothered when we went over bumpy ground and the pram didn’t feel very jittery. The handlebar is also comfortable to hold and I liked how the hood provided my baby with great cover. My baby, Finn, remained content throughout our walk whereas in our previous pram, he would become quite grizzly. The bumper bar across the bassinet is able to be moved to the side simply by clicking a button and by lifting one side. This is something I have found to be very helpful when putting my baby into the bassinet rather than having to completely remove the bumper bar.

Both my husband and father who are significantly taller than me have found the pram a pleasure to push as they do not have to lean forward to push it as the handlebar can be extended.

The pram is easy to fold and unfold and once folded the chassis can stand in an upright position. However, when with the bassinet, it does fill most of our boot space (we have an SUV).

I have found this pram a pleasure to use and the fact that it is beautiful to look at is an added bonus! My baby seems comfortable and content whilst in it. I would not hesitate to recommend this pram to anyone else and I am looking forward to being able to use the pushchair seat in a few months time which looks like it will be spacious and comfy for my little one. I also like the fact that this seat will have a one hand recline on it and can be both world and parent facing.

I feel that although this pram comes with a hefty price tag, this is definitely a case of you pay for what you get. This is a sturdy, reliable, comfy and stylish pram and comparable to the likes of Bugaboo, ICandy and Stokke. This is an investment piece and could be used for a number of children.

Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to review this product. Joolz was not a brand that I had purchased from previously and I did not know very much about them but I have been very pleasantly surprised.
