The Ergobaby Metro is back, bigger and better! After the success of the original Ergobaby Metro, Ergobaby has tweaked, improved and enhanced the original version by introducing the Metro+. The Metro+ is now with extra cushy padding and an adjustable handlebar, providing ultimate comfort and support for both baby and parents. Our Slate Grey Ergobaby Metro+ stroller and car seat adapters arrived in two packages. One for the car seat adapters and the other for the stroller. I first unpacked the car seat adapters from the Natural Baby shower eco-friendly packaging (which I loved) and quickly took a snap of the box. To my pleasant surprise, a notification dropped down on my phone providing me with a link to the Ergobaby website. The page I found myself on provided the compatible car seats that went with the adapters. This is amazing and such a time saver!
We haven't used the car seat adapters yet as we already had a car seat, however, because this stroller is suitable for a newborn, we will be keeping them for our next baby. How amazing is that? I did have a play about and made the seat into a newborn carrycot using the easily accessible sides and found it to be a truly easy transition. I look forward to trying this out in a few years with our next baby.
I put the car seat adapters to one side and proceeded to unpack the stroller. The Ergobaby+ packaging was minimal and the box lifted with ease. After a glance over the included instructions (and a quick look at the instructions on the Ergobaby website), our new stroller was up. My daughter explored the stroller whilst I tried to figure out how to put it back down. After a few tries, I did manage to put it down and over time, this has got much easier. However, I will say I still haven't managed to do it one-handed!
Our strollers first adventure was to the park. My 9-month-old hated her last pushchair and would constantly be trying the get out. To my surprise, she sat happily for the whole fifteen-minute walk to the park…and then back again. The stroller had no problems on the pavement, going up the pavements, on the grass or dirt terrain. It did struggle slightly on stones, but I am yet to see a stroller that doesn’t.
This stroller folds up so small and fits neatly under our staircase, unlike the previous bulky travel system that we constantly tripped over. We were also pleasantly surprised to read that it fits in most aeroplane overhead lockers. We are excited to take it on the plane when we move back to Australia at the end of the year. It is going to make travelling with a baby so much easier than I had ever imagined.
It’s also super easy to get in and out of the car. We are fortunate to have a large boot but this would be perfect for a smaller car too. I honestly feel like a newly free woman who can very easily stop somewhere, flip out her easy lightweight stroller and POP into the shops. It is honestly a game-changer.
Visually, the Ergobaby Metro+ is stunning. It comes in both Slate Grey and Black, which I believe are practical colours and long-lasting. We decided on Slate Grey as grey doesn’t attract the sun as much. The basket beneath the chair is a big size and will fit a picnic blanket, raincoat and stroller rain cover. The stroller rain cover is quite a nice thin material but I do wish it had a way to fold up nicely. I am looking into a rain cover that can attach to the side of the stroller. I would love one to be included in the Ergobaby+ set.
Now, with all good things comes the negative. There is a neat little pocket behind the chair that is so useful but a little hard to reach when the seat is reclined. If you are short and you have the handles at their lowest setting, then you may find the hood a little annoying if it isn’t spread out. It’s easily fixable by extending the handles or spreading out the hood.
Overall, we adore our Ergobaby Metro+ and couldn't imagine our lives without it. It has made it easier to move around and has given my baby a comfortable stroller experience (she even fell asleep in it the other day!). The style is modern but practical. There are many customisable accessories to buy too, which I love and will be purchasing soon! However, I do believe certain accessories should be included with the stroller, like the Ergobaby support bar. I would give the stroller an 8/10, with two points taken off for the negatives mentioned above.

We are very happy with the Ergobaby Metro+ stroller, it came packaged very well, the driver was pleasant and friendly. The stroller was very simple to set up, the instructions were simple to read which greatly helped.
My son absolutely loves his new stroller, my son looks very comfy. It feels very smooth and easy to push. It's very lightweight and spacious. I don't think I have every actually owned a stroller as good as this one, I love how it folds up and down very easily and its compact which fitted in my car very easily. I can find no fault at all, colour is fantastic, such high quality and the design is on point too!
