Planning and designing your little one’s nursery is a big part of preparing for their arrival. Expectant parents love to create a lovely space to watch their newborn grow up in and a special area that so many amazing memories will be made.
We recently teamed up with the lovely @lustliving (Olivia Edwards-Silk) to help her create her dream nursery for little Nova. With her passion for interiors, Olivia had a clear vision of what she wanted her little one’s nursery to look like and had a theme in her head straight away. We knew straight away there was only 1 furniture brand that was a perfect fit and would help to bring this nursery vision to life, of course, it was Cam Cam Copenhagen with their timeless and beautiful furniture pieces. Keep reading to hear from Olivia and how the nursery came from a dream to reality with a little help from Natural Baby Shower with Cam Cam nursery furniture.
Nova’s Ocean Sea Themed Nursery - @lustliving
It’s finally finished! It took us a little while longer due to lockdown delays but the nursery is finished and in plenty of time before Nova will be sleeping in there, the little lady is only 8 weeks old at the moment so still in her bedside crib in with us.
I love the minimal feel in here at the moment but I will gradually be adding more accessories here and there as Nova’s personality grows – so it won’t be quite so bare as time goes on, but I did always plan on having more of a gender-neutral nursery for her, I’m not a big believer in ‘pink is for girls’ and ‘blue is for boys’.
The whole sea theme was completely inspired by the wallpaper. Plus, last year we went to the Maldives on our honeymoon where I learnt to dive and swam with whale sharks which was pretty magical so it all seemed pretty fitting. I want Nova to grow up loving the ocean and sea animals like we do.
I had my heart set on having a matching three-piece furniture set in here (changing table, wardrobe and cot) and knew this Cam Cam Copenhagen Harlequin set in ‘sand’ from Natural Baby Shower was the perfect option, I just fell in love with it. I wanted furniture that would last so getting a cot that converts into a toddler bed afterwards made total sense. The wardrobe is really practical too, unlike most wardrobes that only have a rail, it has a rail, shelves and drawers so I haven’t been short for space – and trust me, Nova has a lot of clothes!
We love the finished nursery and are sure little Nova will love growing up in such a beautiful room. Click the links below to shop the Cam Cam Copenhagen nursery furniture.
