A stroller can be one of the biggest baby purchases you’ll ever buy and with such a huge range of great products out there, it can be hard to be certain which stroller is right for you. You may have heard of some big names and favourites from family and friends, but do you really know what’s the difference between them?
To help make the decision a little easier, we’ve put both the Bugaboo Fox and UPPAbaby Vista under the spotlight, so you can see clearly which stroller would work for you.
Why the Bugaboo Fox and UPPAbaby Vista?
Bugaboo and UPPAbaby are two of the biggest, well-renowned manufacturers of pushchairs and strollers, featuring hero products such as the Fox and Vista range. Over the last few years, both brands have developed the range, with Bugaboo most recently launching the Fox3 in August 2021 and UPPAbaby launching the VistaV2 in 2020.
Despite launching new generations, both stroller footprints have stayed relatively similar, so it feels right to sum up some of the most noted comparisons between these two pushchair giants. Here are all the highlights of the Bugaboo Fox and UPPAbaby Vista range…

In a nutshell, the Fox is a more compact stroller than the UPPAbaby Vista, most likely due to its inability to convert to a double stroller. However, its size means the Fox is more agile, especially over rough terrain. The focus on all-wheel advanced suspension and larger wheels means the Fox can tackle cobblestones, curbs and more with ease, ideal for families looking to spend much of their time outdoors.

Designed with baby and parents in mind, the Bugaboo Fox was created for everyday strolls and adventures. The Fox2 introduced a large sun canopy with two peak-a-boo windows providing ultimate sun coverage and airflow, ideal for families are on the go the windows allow you to stay connected with your child even in world-facing position. The Fox fabrics are all made with premium materials and in an even bigger array of colours with the Fox3 introducing the Styled by Bugaboo hand-picked colour range and creative wheel.
The Fox3 also features advanced 3D mesh mattress for breathability and ventilation system temperature regulating properties make the Fox ultra-comfortable, no matter the weather. The spacious bassinet is kitted out with a new ventilation system to keep your newborn cool through the first six months. The bassinet also features one very popular attribute with a convertible fabric bassinet, which can be used for both carrycot and seat. To recap, the UPPAbaby Vista is designed to convert to a double stroller, meaning that if you decide to have more than one child under five, or maybe discover you’re having twins, the Vista can accommodate up to three children if using a ride-on buggy board. Each seat can carry a child weighing up to 15kg which can be used from birth to around 4 years of age.
The UPPAbaby Vista is more suited to urban driving than off-roading. The extra large shopping basket is ideal for carrying necessities or shopping while the shock-absorbing front & rear suspension ensures for a smooth ride. With foam-filled wheels, you won’t need to worry about picking up a puncture on busy or crowded streets.
The Vista V2, UPPAbaby's most recent Vista, also features an adjustable handlebar which extends for parents of varying heights and features premium, full-grain leather for extra grip while pushing baby.
The Vista V2 is also compatible as a travel system, meaning a car seat and carrycot can be used interchangeably on the chassis. The UPPAbaby Mesa i-Size can attach directly onto the frame, while universal adapters can accommodate a wide selection of other branded car seats.
Overall
If you think you are more of an active family, with only one child under 4 you may sway towards the the Bugaboo Fox over the UPPAbaby Vista. As a smaller, more portable option the Fox - especially the Fox3 - has similar features and accessories of the Vista however without the ability to convert into a double stroller.
On the other hand, if you are located in more of a city-dwelling and plan to extend your family in the near future, the UPPAbaby Vista is great for handling urban terrain in both single and double mode and with generous basket space, it's perfect for any avid shopper.
