babymoov Nutribaby(+) XL & babymoov Foodii Starter Kit Review

As part of International Weaning Week back in May, we offered 1 lucky person the chance to review and keep the Natural Baby Shower exclusive Babymoov Nutribaby XL and Foodie Starter Kits from Babymoov. The Nutribaby XL is the same great food maker and weaning hero with its ability to steam, blend, cook, heat and sterilize all with one multi-purpose food processor. But with the XL version you can make up to 14 meals for the whole family with its larger capacity and size.

The babymoov Foodii Starter kit is the perfect alternative to disposable baby food pouches. This kit has everything you need to easily prep and store your little one’s food whilst saving the planet by reducing the waste you create. But what did our parent tester think of these 2 weaning hero products?

I was so excited to receive this multi use appliance as I love to cook healthy and nutritious meals for both my 2 girls and myself and my partner. 

When the parcel arrived it was beautifully boxed and the items were packed inside securely so they wouldn’t have a risk of being damaged in transit.

The design of the Babymoov Nutribaby XL box is eye capturing! The colours of navy and rose gold compliment each other and are in with fashion so it’s definitely something I look out for when purchase items for my home. The Foodii Starter Kit is perfect for my 7 month old. She loves different colours so the pouches with blue and green caught her eye straight away.

The Babymoov Nutribaby XL itself was so easy to put together and set up plus the instructions are easy to follow. One thing I first noticed was how there was a guide of how long to cook all the different foods (meats, veg, fruit) and a recipe book. This is fantastic as I often spend a while internet searching for cooking times and recipes plus this also meant I could get using it instantly. 

There are minimal buttons on the machine and they are labelled with diagrams so it’s easy to know which button is for each mode. 

I was so impressed to see it could also sterilise, warm bottles and food jars and defrost. There are no baby products out there which I have ever come across which are able to do all the abilities this is. 

I love the idea of having different basket levels so it enables you to cook all your different foods whilst not having to mix them together. This definitely comes in handy when you have a picky toddler like mine. 

When I first used this I was able to make a meal for 2 adults, a toddler and a baby. We used the steamer to make rosemary chicken, new potatoes, tomatoes and spinach while simultaneously using the blender to make a mixed fruit smoothie. It only took 25 minutes from start to finish which i personally find amazing as when using a normal cooker I have to keep an eye on numerous things such as the oven, hobs, blender and microwave and takes me twice as long, where with the Babymoov Nutrifood XL it’s all in one and is a healthier way to cook delicious food my whole family ate and loved. 

The Foodii Starter Kit comes with a filler bottles which allowed me to put the smoothie in and the spout fits securely into the mouth of the pouch ensuring there is no messing around and no spillage involved. I was delighted to see you get 10 pouches within the Kit as with other items I’ve previously bought you would normally get a maximum of 3 so this is something that really caught my attention. I also love how the Kit comes with snack spouts AND a squeeze spoon! I have always had to buy the squeeze spoons separately with other products and they usually cost a lot. For me it’s the smaller things like this that really impress me. 

Once both Babymoov products had been used it was so easy to wash up and clean as it all comes apart and is so easy to put back together without any issues at all. Even if I was unsure of which way it all went back together the instructions manual clearly shows a diagram of how it fits. I often find instructions difficult to read and I’m so happy this is not one of them. 

I have used the product numerous times since receiving it and I have no issues with any part of it. I would 100% recommend this to anyone not just for babys and toddlers but for adults and the older generation too as it’s so easy to use. I definitely wouldn’t be able to live without both items after using them for the past few days. I will not be going back to cooking in the oven as I often find things are fatty however the food my family have eaten have been moist and tender.
