Parent Tester – Amy Smith
I was recently lucky enough to be chosen to be a parent product tester for the new Silver Cross Horizon Go in moonlight.
I was really excited to try out the pushchair as for the past 4 years since my first son was born in August 2016 I had only ever used my trusty Joolz. This had served me very well over the years but shamefully I wasn't once able to collapse it!
Upon its arrival the pushchair came in one box. It was well packaged and after reading the simple instructions I was able to put the pushchair together within 15 minutes alone. It came in two pieces along with the foot muff and a smaller waterproof bag containing the much needed rain cover for our lovely British weather!
I was extremely happy with how the Silver Cross Horizon looked, the colour gives it a very sleek look and the larger storage basket at the bottom makes it a lot more practical for me to use when out and about with both children.
Taking the pushchair out and putting it through it paces, I found it very comfortable to manoeuvre between narrow spaces. Ozlo of course found it very comfy and was very happy with his new wheels as you can see!
The push bar is easily adapted to your height. With one push or pull and a click of a button you can adjust it very easily, very practical for both taller and shorter parents! I'm only 5 ft 3 and had always struggled with my previous pushchair as I couldn't ever collapse it, now I can single headedly do it alone and no longer have to wait for my partner to help put it away! I've also found it much more manageable to use after having two C-sections the Silver Cross is a lot lighter not only to put away and collapse but to also push.
The brake system is very simple to use its located next to the left wheel and has one red button to brake and a green button to release. The foot muff is easily attached and when not using it the silver cross still looks sleek.
The comfort for Ozlo is amazing, the padding within the pushchair not only keeps him comfy but also warm too. When using the foot muff it keeps in the warmth and I don't have to worry about Ozlo being cold.
I can honestly say I've loved using the Silver Cross and wish I had made my life easier a long time ago! I no longer feel like I'm pushing an elephant up the hill and don't feel as if I'm taking up the whole aisle whilst out shopping. Ozlo has slept ever so cozy too and of course that's a parents dream to have a content sleeping baby whilst out running errands!
Me & Ozlo would like to thank both Silver Cross & Natural Baby Shower for giving us the opportunity to be able to review such a great product. I can definitely say I would 100% recommend the Horizon to any parent wanting something practical to use whilst looking super sleek!
