Harry & Rose Natural Baby Shower Gift Set Review

Harry & Rose and Natural Baby Shower have collaborated to create a gorgeous Baby Shower Gift Set including everything you need to bathe your little one. All Harry & Rose baby skincare products are made in the UK, made only from organic & natural ingredients and are completely free of any nasties! To celebrate we offered three parents the opportunity to test out these goodies for themselves. Keep on reading to find out what they thought...

Parent Tester 1: Chelsea Jones

I was delighted when our Harry & Rose products arrived. The gift set comes beautifully packaged in a ribbon tied gift box which really would make it the perfect gift for a baby shower or new baby.

The gift set itself included Bubble Bath, Hair-Body Wash and Baby Soft Lotion. We were also sent a luxuriously soft, Bamboo hooded towel and mitt.

I love the fact the products are opposite to the usual bright coloured baby bath products you see on the high-street, thus giving it a luxurious and high quality feel. First impressions are extremely important and it did not disappoint.

I loved the fresh, light scent of each of the products.

Baby Bubble Bath

This organic bubble bath is enriched with natural moisturisers, so it doesn’t dry out the skin and the natural products meant that I was able to use it in my baby’s first ever bath when he was just two days old. Whilst you don’t get huge bubbles, there’s definitely enough to make bath time fun and the bath water smells amazing.

Baby Hair-Body Wash

With some of the organic soaps we’ve used in the past, we’ve found that they don’t tend to foam very much. This isn’t the case with the Harry & Rose Hair-Body wash, which works up into a lovely lather. I have not used this on my newborn yet as the bubble bath alone is enough to leave his hair and body soft and clean. It’s easy-to-rinse formula helps to make washing my 2 year old daughters hair a breeze. This product again is packed with natural moisturisers and we found that it definitely doesn’t dry out her skin like some of the supermarket brands do.

Baby Soft Lotion

The Baby Soft Lotion is such a luxurious treat with a soft coconut scent,. I was surprised at how lovely it smells in comparison to some other lotions we’ve tried in the past, which seemed to be packed with harsh ingredients often leaving an odd smell once rubbed in.

When I have a little bit of extra time I do like to take the time out to give my newborn and toddler a massage. I find with this lotion a little goes a long way and its creamy soft texture leaves their skin super soft.

You can really see my little man’s face relax after being pulled out of the warm water, it has a definite calming effect on him. It is non greasy and I even used some on myself - it left my skin smelling amazing all day.

My Verdict
Having suffered from psoriasis and sensitive skin myself, I am always cautious about what products I put on my children’s skin. However Harry & Rose products are all free from Parabens, SLS/SLES, dyes or mineral oils. Instead, they are natural, pure and organic with ingredients such as Calendula, Coconut, Chamomile, Cottonseed and Aloe Vera.

We have been testing the Harry & Rose Natural Baby Shower exclusive gift set for just over three weeks now and so far we have been really pleased with it. I use the products on my newborn baby and toddler.

I love how Harry & Rose is suited from newborn and is for all skin types. We started using the products when my newborn was just 2 days old, now at 3 weeks old his skin is soft as ever. The products have a pump, which makes life so much easier. As many parents know, you have to learn to do a lot of things one handed. They have honestly thought of everything. They fill a gap in the market for high quality organic products with an affordable price tag.

I would highly recommend the Harry & Rose gift box set. We have loved using the products and putting them through their paces.

Wow where do I start?!

The delivery from Natural Baby shower arrived promptly and beautifully packaged. When I opened the package I was delighted with the presentation box that was inside. It was secured with a lovely grey ribbon and I couldn't wait to take a peek. Upon opening the box I was greeted with a scent so fresh and light yet with a certain smell of luxury - I could tell I was going to love the products straight away. The Harry & Rose bath products were displayed so neatly and I was immediately drawn to the stunning hooded towel. I was excited to try the towel as I have always struggled with the fluff coming away on previous ones no matter how many times they were washed. 

During bath time, the bubble bath and hair and body wash were used. I have to admit I do like a bubble bath to 'bubble' a little more, but this did not detract from the lovely scent that filled the room. From the first use I knew I was already hooked onto the hair and body wash. I am very impressed with the gentle formula of the wash. It was so lightweight that it didn't take a long time to rinse off or leave my little ones hair looking heavy (like many others do) 

The product was so mild it didn't even irritate my older son's eczema patches. A big thumbs up from mummy. 

Following her bath I wrapped my little one in the beautifully embroidered towel and dried her. How pleasantly surprised I was to see just a lovely clean baby. Not one covered in towel fluff. An even bigger thumb up from me. 

To say I am delighted with the Harry & Rose baby bath products is probably quite a big understatement. I really do love them and so does my little one. We will certainly be ordering more of these products and have already recommended them to friends. 

Parent Tester 3: Laura Stokes

I was sent a beautiful baby skincare gift box last month by Harry and Rose from Natural Baby Shower. I received the gift set which contained the bubble bath, baby lotion, hair and body wash, a bamboo towel and wash mitt (both super soft against your babies skin). I have used the products for the whole month in order to review them properly.

The products which are made in England came so beautifully packaged. They came in a white gift box with a lovely ribbon tied around it, which I feel would make them great gifts for new mum's and mum's to be.

I've noticed that most baby and children's products are bright colours and usually have lots of pictures and characters plastered all over them. Harry and Rose have decided against this and have gone for a completely different look, which I absolutely adore. The products look high end, pretty and luxurious!

I initially tried the bubble bath. The bubbles were lovely and had such a beautiful scent but I found that they disappeared quite quickly once Hallie splashed around.

I then used the baby hair and body wash on Hallie, which left her smelling amazing due to the mixture of Calendula, Coconut, Chamomile, Cottonseed and Aloe Vera. The scent reminded me of talc with a slight floral smell.

Hallie has a lot of hair for a baby and I usually find that the hair and bodywash combo of other products leave her hair looking and feeling greasy and I was pleasantly surprised when using the Harry and Rose wash. Hallie's hair has been looking and smelling amazing, meaning that I don't need to wash it every night, making it a bonus for me.

The Baby Soft Lotion is really creamy in texture. It leaves the skin super soft and silky and you only need a little. I found that it was perfect for Hallie's baby sensitive skin and she loved having a little massage. The lotion also has a lovely fresh scent.

Overall I've been really please with the products. They have such a gentle formula, only using natural ingredients. I love that the products look high end but for the fraction of the price. I also love the idea that all the products are made in the UK and they are organic. I will definitely continue to use Harry and Rose
