Can you introduce yourself and your family and tell readers a bit about your background?
I live with my husband, Markos, and four children: Anais, 8, Lourdes, 6, Arin, 4 and Amelie Rose, 2. I’ve always been in sales and marketing. I worked in various roles at the Economist Group for 10 years prior to starting aden + anais.
And tell us about a typical morning?
I get up around 7am which is when my 2-year old usually wakes. I have two words for our morning ritual, organized chaos.
I get the girls up by 7:30am, they eat a simple breakfast, usually toast or cereal and fruit. Then, I get them dressed, brush their teeth and my nanny arrives to walk them up the hill to school. After that, I usually get to my office around 9:30am.
My day is dictated by the most pressing issue I have in my inbox that morning. The days are busy, no such thing as breaks I’m afraid, and I rarely have lunch.
How do you work the evenings?
My nanny picks the children up from school, gives them dinner and bathes them. I leave the office at 7pm to spend a couple of hours with the girls. When they are down for the night, I log back on to deal with whatever didn’t get done during the day.
After such a busy day how do you relax?
And finally what future do you see for your business?
A long, successful one.
A big thank you to aden + anais for taking part in our Life in A Day series.
